Happy New Year to All!

Well, 2008 is coming to an end. What a year it has been! We have had many changes, challenges and unexpected things happen. However, there were some good things worth mentioning...
  • The Ruby Princess and Celebrity Solstice both entered service. I had the opportunity to attend Inaugural sailings for both of these fine vessels. They are definitely beautiful ships worth sailing on .
  • The removal of Fuel Surcharges by most Cruise Lines. Thank you!
  • Lowered cruise pricing which has allowed new cruisers to experience the great life of cruising!
  • The preview of the World's Largest Ship...The Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas. For more information on this ship, check out www.CruiseTheOasis.com
  • The announcement of year round cruising from the Port of Baltimore on the Carnival Pride.
  • The announcement of the Celebrity Mercury coming to the Port of Baltimore in late 2009.
  • The Carnival Dream and it's new category of staterooms accomodating up to 5 people.
  • And so much more.

I wish everyone a Happy, Healty and Safe New Year. I'll see you in 2009!

2009...A Good Year to Travel

According to a travel writer for msnbc.com, 2009 could be the best year for travel. Analysts see a possibly recovery in travel for 2009. I tend to agree. Cruise Lines have said good-bye to fuel surcharges (although they could return) for 2009 and cruise fares are low. There are some great deals out there for those ready to sail away to foreign destinations. Don't miss out on the best and most economical vacation. Planning early is key!

You've Never Been on a Cruise...What's All the Hype About?

So, you've never been on a cruise and all your family and friends are talking about it. What's all the hype about?

Cruises are a great way to take a vacation that suits every budget and offers the best travel value for the money. Why is it such a great value? You pay one price which includes your cabin, meals and snacks, onboard activities including great Broadway-style shows, kids programs, pools, great exotic destinations and so much more. You know what the vacation will cost before you go. Your only extra expenses will be alcohol, optional shore excursions, spa treatments and souvenirs.

There are cruises to match the length you want...three days to three months! Anytime is a great time to cruise depending on where you want to go. For instance, the Caribbean is great year round. You can only cruise to Alaska between May and September; to Europe between April and November; Bermuda between April and October; and Panama Canal between September and April. See, it's always the perfect time to cruise.

Now that you see what you're friends have been talking about, it is time to book your first cruise!
